The ability to rapidly and precisely detect relevant objects and events in our visual environment is essential to several activities such as driving a car and sports. While driving a car, the incapacity to see a pedestrian preparing to cross the street can cause serious consequences, whereas during a soccer game, loosing sight of the ball for even a few milliseconds can lead to an opponent’s goal. The SENIC application (cognitive and immersive simulation) allows the player to test and improve his readiness to detect various events occurring during realistic and engaging short video sequences. Using an intuitive interface, he can:
• Select the content of video clips according to his interests (e.g. driving, hockey, etc.);
• Watch the video footage;
• Report events according to the received instructions by a simple gesture symbology;
